Quality Assurance member Dustin McKenna shows and explains an idea for revamping the Online Video Editor to other members of the Core Squad.
At Hudl, squads collaborate on design through “Sketch Sessions”. Typically led by the squad’s designer, these sessions allow every member to have input on the experience our users have. They begin with a brief discussion of the issue at hand. Sometimes the issues are more general, and others, more specific. Here, it’s (how) should we lay out an updated Online Video Editor.
After the brief opening, the squad spends a few minutes sketching out their idea. And, once time is up, the squad takes turns presenting their idea to the others.
After the session, the designer collects the squad’s designs and ideas to use when creating the initial mockups.
